I grew up in Sylvania, Ohio and joined the military after graduating from Sylvania Southview High School in 1993. After serving my four (4) year commitment I received an honorable discharge. I then used my G.I. Bill to attend college at Virginia Tech beginning in the fall of 1998, after attending New River Community College for a year. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2002 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Planning. In 2002 I moved back home to Toledo, Ohio. From 2002 through 2005 I attended law school at the University of Toledo, College of Law, graduating with a Certificate of Environmental Law in May, 2005. I joined a classmate of mine in Troy, Ohio and we began practicing law directly out of law school. While in Troy, Ohio, I took criminal appointed cases, worked on probate matters (including wills and trusts and estates), represented individuals in divorce and custody matters, and worked obtaining domestic violence civil protection orders for physically abused women. From 2008 through 2014, I worked in Savannah, Georgia with a regionally recognized Plaintiff’s law firm which specializes in labor and employment law, personal injury, Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act claims, and criminal law. During this time period, I provided counsel to unions and the unions’ locally administered Pension, Vacation, and Health and Welfare Taft-Hartley benefit funds. While there, I also represented individuals in Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act claims, social security disability cases, civil rights cases, personal injury cases, and both misdemeanor (including DUI cases) and felony criminal cases in state and federal court. In 2014, I made the decision to move back home to Toledo, Ohio to be closer to family and to start my own law practice. In 2018 we moved back to Savannah, Georgia. Anybody that knows me knows that I bring a tenacious spirit to everything I do, including the practice of law and the representation of my clients. I am dedicated to protecting the rights of working people. If I cannot help you, I am able to refer you to someone who can. The foundation of my practice is based on relationships and my focus is on putting forth every ounce of energy that I have in providing you the best legal representation possible.
